Razer has revealed that it will be releasing a variant of the Razer Blade 15 laptop that boasts a 15.6-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz—the first of its kind, according to the company.

Is that ACTUALLY worth while though especially in a 15 inch laptop?!

Plus a 3070ti isn't going to drive a 1440p panel at 240 hz in anything but low rent fortnight clones.

It's all snake oil. Certainly the old 60fps rule of thumb is no longer considered anything but the most basically adequate, but anything above ~120hz is just plain snake oil.

Yeah, fast panels may make sense from a "in the future I'll use a more badass GPU" perspective, but in a laptop, that won't be the case...

It's a gaming laptop - those were always going to be about having bigger numbers on the box, not actually having a better gaming experience.

I'm sure the influencers will gush over how buttery it looks at 240Hz.... and not show the FPS counter stuck at 72
