Razer Releases BlackWidow V4 and BlackWidow V4 X Gaming Keyboards

Razer has announced that the BlackWidow V4 and BlackWidow V4 X are now available for purchase at Razer.com, RazerStores, and authorized resellers for $169.99 USD/€189.99 MSRP and $129.99 USD/€149.99 MSRP, respectively. Both of these gaming keyboards come in Green (Clicky) and Yellow (Linear/Silent) switch options, while the BlackWidow V4 offers up to an 8,000 Hz polling rate.

Why the holy hell do I need a 8000 hertz or roughly 8 kilohertz polling rate for my flipping keyboard? Am I actually typing so fast that I need SUB MILISECOND response times on my KEYBOARD?
