Reuters’ sources have countered yesterday’s rumor of an Apple Car debuting next year. Apparently, the electric vehicle won’t actually debut in 2021, but in 2024, which seems a lot more realistic. They’re also claiming that the automotive project, dubbed “Project Titan,” will boast a revolutionary battery design that would allow for not only increased range, but lower production costs.
“[…] Apple plans to use a unique “monocell” design that bulks up the individual cells in the battery and frees up space inside the battery pack by eliminating pouches and modules that hold battery materials,” a source said.
