Call of Duty fans who are restricted to Sony consoles have nothing to fear, as the franchise’s next installments will also be coming to the PlayStation.

That’s according to a new report from Bloomberg, whose sources have claimed that the next three Call of Duty games aren’t exclusive to the Xbox, contrary to what some fanboys had assumed after Microsoft announced its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard last week. The deal gives Microsoft reign over not only Call of Duty, but numerous other critically acclaimed franchises that include Warcraft and Diablo.

Probably want to give time for folks to move over to Xbox ecosystem - I think Acti/Bliz historically has sold a lot more units on PS than Xbox, not sure how PC comes into the mix there, but I don't see CoD as a major PC title (but then again, I don't run in those circles so maybe I just wouldn't see it). You don't want to start out by cutting your revenue in more than half.

Reddit seems to think COD skews about 60% PS, 30% Xb, 10% PC, but those are just random Reddit numbers. Hard to find any concrete data.

After some thought, and this is a tangent - this surprises me about Microsoft. They had their failed Mixer platform where they tried to bring influencers in - Ninja was pretty high profile at the time (idk who he is, just from the news articles). So MS thought influencing was big enough to spin up Mixer, Mixer failed, but then rather than continue to invest in other platforms, they just let it die. They could have kept influencers on the payroll, just using actual popular platforms. It's obvious influencers have an impact on sales (much to my dismay), but it seems MS pivoted to mimic Nintendo/Sony's strategy of acquiring and pushing exclusives to gain adoption. Not sure that is the best use of investment dollars, when they could just continue to invest in GamePass - that's their winning ticket if they would just fix it mechanically on the PC.
