NVIDIA's first 3-nanometer GPUs may not arrive until 2025 at the earliest, according to a report from DigiTimes that discusses how TSMC's major customers, which, of course, include NVIDIA, are pushing their 3-nanometer plans back and sticking with less-advanced processes for a longer period of time than expected. Reasons for the alleged delay include a slower PC market (see: sluggish economy), the higher premium that TSMC is asking for its most advanced processes, and technical worries, such as yield and performance. NVIDIA's current Ada Lovelace GeForce GPUs are built on TSMC's 5-nanometer process.
