🎮 Introducing Monthly Retro Gaming Nights - Join the Fun! 🎮

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our new Monthly Retro Gaming Night series! This regular community event is designed to bring people together for some classic multiplayer mayhem and plenty of laughs.

What's This All About?
Each month, we'll host a dedicated game night featuring a carefully selected old-school multiplayer title (primarily from the FPS/shooter genre). We'll provide the servers, you bring the good vibes! If the response is overwhelming, we may even bump it up to twice monthly.

Everyone's Invited!
This isn't just for the DC team – we're opening our virtual doors wide! Whether you're looking to meet new people, considering contributing some hardware to our projects, or just want to relive gaming's glory days, you're welcome here. Bring your friends, family, and fellow gamers along for the ride.

First Up: Battlefield 2 (2005)
We're kicking things off with a true classic! With support for up to 64 players per server, there's room for everyone to join the action. Our dedicated server is configured with local ranking enabled, so your progress will be tracked and you'll unlock weapons and upgrades as you play.

Getting Started:

Since BF2 is no longer commercially available (a common challenge with retro titles), here's how to join:
  • Need the game? Simply send me a PM and I'll help you get set up
  • Already own it? Dust off that CD/DVD drive and follow these steps:
    1. Visit https://www.bf2hub.com/home/index.php and create an account
    2. Download the BF2Hub client to patch your game (this replaces the defunct GameSpy service)
    3. You're ready to roll!

When Do We Start?
We're currently gauging interest and availability. Saturday is looking like our top candidate, allowing us to run sessions throughout the day to accommodate different schedules. Please share your preferred day of the week in the thread below!
