Do gamers really need another game launcher? Rockstar Games certainly seems to think so. The Grand Theft Auto developer has released the "Rockstar Games Launcher," which is available for download immediately at its Social Club website.
As incentive for those who are on the fence, Rockstar is gifting a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on PC for a limited time. PCGamesN predicts that the inevitable Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port will be exclusive to this launcher.
You can buy games through the attached store – currently including GTA5, GTA3 Vice City, Max Payne 3, Bully, and L.A. Noire – and run them through the simple interface with the benefit of automatic updates and cloud saves. There’s also an option to scan your PC for existing installs of Rockstar titles so that you can add them to your library here.
