Samsung Announces 4 TB 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD and 990 PRO with Heatsink

Samsung has announced that the 4 TB version of the 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD (MSRP: $344.99) and 990 PRO with Heatsink (MSRP: $354.99) will be available for purchase at Samsung.com and select retailers beginning October 2023. Similar to the existing 1 TB and 2 TB versions, these new SKUs offer sequential read speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,900 MB/s—nearly the highest speeds currently available from the PCIe 4.0 interface, according to Samsung. And while the PS5 isn't directly mentioned, Samsung says that the 990 PRO with Heatsink is compatible with the latest game consoles.
