Samsung has announced that it will be releasing a new version of its popular 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD that comes paired with a heat sink. Marketed toward PlayStation 5 owners, Samsung’s heat sink features a clean design reminiscent of a wire channel and advanced heat dissipation technology for keeping temperatures in check. The SSD will be available beginning on October 29, 2021 in 1 TB and 2 TB capacities at an MSRP of $249.99 and $449.99, respectively.
