The AM9C1, a new SSD that is said to be the first PCIe 4.0 automotive SSD based on Samsung's eighth-generation vertical NAND (V-NAND), featuring sequential read and write speeds of up to 4,400 MB/s and 400 MB/s, has been successfully developed for next-generation vehicles with on-device AI capabilities, Samsung Electronics has announced.
