Samsung has partnered with Australian jeans brand Dr Denim to develop a pair of jeans specially designed for its latest flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip3. Dubbed the “Z Flip Pocket Denim,” the jeans cost $1,499 and feature a thigh pocket that is perfectly stitched to the phone’s dimensions. The Galaxy Z Flip3 is included in the price, but only 450 pairs will be available for sale.

From Samsung Australia:

Samsung has partnered with Dr Denim to do away with bulky, unfashionable pockets, debuting jeans designed to snugly fit the new Galaxy Z Flip3, a device which folds to approximately half the size of a standard flat phone. This stupidity confirms that Samsung has depleted their gadget vision and now, they are just throwing snitz and watching what sticks.

How the mighty has fallen. Sad!

I have no words for this product. It makes me sad for humanity.

I fully expected this to be SNL-level satire, or an April 1 joke.

Wow.. 1500 dollars for a pair of jeans even with a phone pocket is just stupid.

Clearly none of you read the article.

1. The phone, which retails for around $1000 is included.
2. Only 450 of these will be available.

This is purely marketing to get people talking about their new phone.

PS.

This also does not restore my faith in humanity.

ps. That's still $500 for a pair of jeans with a gimped pocket.

Clearly you don't know how advertising works.

I'm surprised it works at all, honestly.

There must be so many mindless sheep out there letting themselves be manipulated by advertising.

I'm a bigger fan of products that sell themselves by virtue of their own excellence. Where reviews or word of mouth is all it takes

Honestly, if you have to pay to send out manipulative messages in order to sell your product, you don't deserve to sell your product.

Hear me out; I never heard of this phone until reading this article. Peaked my interest so I looked into it more.

Sounds like it worked as it should.

I still don't know what phone it is, other than Yet Another Samsung Somethingoranother.
