Santa Monica Studio Announces God of War: Ragnarok for PS4 and PS5

Sony claimed earlier this year that God of War: Ragnarok was not the title to Santa Monica Studio’s new God of War game.



That was a lie.



Santa Monica Studio confirmed God of War: Ragnarok and its official title today with an exciting trailer that premiered during Sony’s PlayStation Showcase. It comprises entirely of in-game footage running on the PS5.



One of the first things that God of War fans might notice is how much the sequel looks like the original, although that’s not necessarily a bad thing. God of War still looks amazing, particularly when it’s running at a rock-solid 60 FPS on Sony’s next-gen console in performance mode.

Definitely my most-anticipated 9th-gen game so far. The previous game was an utter surprise to me, one of my favorite games of 8th-gen, and some of Cory Barlog's finest work. Really looking forward to the next game. Really hope it comes to PC.
