Seagate Ships Three Zettabytes of Hard Drive Storage

Hard drive giant Seagate has confirmed that it is the first company to ship three zettabytes (3,000,000,000 terabytes) of data. As the company boasted on its enterprise blog, this amount of storage is enough to hold as many as 30 billion 4K movies and 60 billion video games. What’s really interesting is that it took Seagate 36 years since its founding to ship its first zettabyte, but only 4 years and 2 years to hit the two zettabyte and three zettabyte marks, respectively. According to a lengthy infographic shared by the company, the amount of 10 TB Exos drives required to fill three zettabytes (300,000,000) would be more than enough to circle the Earth...
