A sealed copy of Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda sold for $870,000 at Heritage Auctions last week. While that amount was quite impressive, the record it attained has already been broken by a different auction for another of Nintendo’s iconic titles, Super Mario 64. A sealed copy of the classic 1996 platformer graded 9.8 on the Wata scale managed to sell for an incredible $1.5 million today. This is reportedly the most that anyone has ever paid for a single video game auction.
