The latest installment of Sega’s iconic fighting game franchise, Virtua Fighter 5, is making its return on PlayStation 4 in a newly remastered package dubbed Ultimate Showdown. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown was rebuilt using the same engine that powers Sega’s popular action-adventure beat ’em up series, Yakuza, and serves as the definitive version of the game with HD graphics and revised features such as new lighting and shaders. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown will be released worldwide next week on June 1, 2021 exclusively for Sony’s previous-gen console.

So weird that they are remaking the latest entry in the series, which just came out during the 7th-gen days. Probably would have been fine to just port it to new systems, and maybe save the remake effort for an older entry. Actually I'm surprised they aren't ready to do the 6th game.
