Was the success of this year’s Sonic the Hedgehog film a fluke? We won’t know for a couple of years, as Paramount Pictures (via Variety) has announced that Sega’s mascot won’t be returning to the silver screen until April 8, 2022. That, unfortunately, is a pretty long wait for Sonic fans who got a kick out of the revised CG and Jim Carrey’s zany portrayal of Dr. Robotnik, but hey – maybe the coronavirus will be a distant memory by then.
Paramount also revealed that two of its upcoming blockbusters, which also happen to be sequels (let’s get some new ideas, Hollywood!) would be delayed. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt’s A Quiet Place 2 will now be released on April 23, 2021 instead of September 6, 2020, while Tom Cruise’s Top...
