Sony Deal Prevents Resident Evil Village from Launching on Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has managed to score a handful of day-one launch titles for its popular game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, but the next installment in Capcom’s leading survival horror franchise won’t be one of them. This is according to leaked documents shared by streamer Alfred Lameche, which reveals that Sony and Capcom had entered into a marketing agreement that prevents Resident Evil Village from being released on any competing platform subscription service for at least a year. Xbox Game Pass, among other services, are specifically named.
