Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Japanese division has patented what clearly appears to be a PlayStation controller designed specifically for mobile gaming. As spotted by VGC, the illustrations allude to a device that looks very much like a DualShock 4 controller but with the center portion extended to fit the length of a smartphone. If released, the controller would presumably be an ideal complement for playing PlayStation games over the cloud or via features such as Remote Play.
