As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, McDonald’s Australia (called “Macca’s” locally) revealed last week that it had created 50 limited-edition PS5 DualSense controllers to give away as part of a special streaming event that would run through the week.
Sadly, it looks like PlayStation fans with a predilection for fast food will have an especially tough time getting their hands on one, as Sony has issued a statement clarifying that the DualSense variant with french fries and hamburger decals had never been authorized by the gaming giant.
McDonald’s Australia has postponed its streaming event as a result, clarifying that its colorful DualSense design will not be included in the prize pool.
