Sony is planning to launch a new model of the PlayStation 5 that will feature a detachable disc drive, according to a new report from reputable leaker Tom Henderson.

"Disc Drive". Does this mean optical or an external ssd or nvme of some type? The article isn't clear on that. I'm going to assume external hard drive/ssd... which it already supports anyway but not for PS5 games. Confused guy is confused.

I'm sure they're referring to the Blu-Ray optical drive. Which would be a great move, tbh. I prefer the clean look of a drive-less console, but admit that a external drive would definitely come in handy (ie: physical game gifted, blu ray movie).
