SIE CEO Jim Ryan didn't have much to say about the PlayStation 5 during Sony's CES 2020 conference last night, but he did reveal the next-gen console's official logo.
It looks exactly how you'd expect. Sony simply switched out the "4" with a "5."
Despite the ongoing memes, the consistency makes a lot of sense from a branding standpoint.
The last unique design that Sony had was the original logo for the PlayStation 3 (well, maybe it wasn't that original, being that it ripped off the Spider-Man font).
Aside from the logo reveal, Ryan merely reiterated what was already shared regarding the PS5, such as the inclusion of an SSD, Ultra HD Blu-ray drive, and adaptive triggers for the DualShock 5.
Game lineup and other features will be announced at a later date.
