Star Wars Eclipse Could Be Three to Four Years Away, Claims Insider

Quantic Dream finally revealed its epic new Star Wars game during last week’s Game Awards show, but it might be a while before anyone can actually play it.



According to insider Tom Henderson, who’s made a name for himself with Battlefield leaks, Star Wars Eclipse could be around three to four years away, opening up the possibility that Quantic Dream may not be releasing the game until 2024 or 2025.



One reason for Star Wars Eclipse’s extended development purportedly has to do with the amount of current staff at Quantic Dream. Henderson claims that the studio is “struggling” to hire enough people to work on the project, although the reason for that doesn’t seem to be clear.



Another supposedly has to do with Quantic Dream’s game engine. It wasn’t designed for an open-world title, Henderson said.
