One of the most memorable segments of Star Wars: The Old Republic is its classic “Deceived” cinematic trailer, which was released two years ahead of the MMORPG on June 1, 2009 and hyped fans with an epic battle sequence that included battalions of Sith versus Jedi and a showdown between Darth Malgus and Jedi Master Ven Zallow. That trailer is now available to watch in higher quality thanks to BioWare, which uploaded a new 4K version in celebration of the long-running MMORPG’s 10th anniversary. The developer has promised that all of its classic cinematic trailers will soon be available to watch in Ultra HD.

It's wild this game is still going. I played it for years but left after BioWare made some questionable decisions with the game that stopped me from enjoying it.

I still to this day mix this up with knights of the old republic when someone mentions it. As with every MMO I tried I invested maybe 2-3 hours into this before deciding it is not for me. I tried this when they made it Free to play.

I'm not really an MMO player. However, this one grabbed me and I played it off and on for about 7 years. I haven't touched the game in about three at this point.

I think the trailers are the best part of the game. I love the trailers but couldn't get into the game.

They really do have some of the best Star Wars trailers of all time.

Story and gameplay are not bad either, the MMO bit kinda is though.
The good part is you can really treat it like a single player game with a lot of content and story. It's really quite good in that regard and it sets itself apart from other MMO's in that regard. That being said, the MMO systems that were lacking originally are far better than they once were. I think it's a solid or perhaps even above average MMO today.

I still go back every couple of years and start a new toon from scratch - play until I get caught up, then put it back on the shelf. I'd probably be playing it right now if I hadn't drifted to Rift this time around, and I'm due to head back to FFXIV shortly after the new xpac hits.
