As the parent company of 2K and Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive boasts a solid profile of titles that span multiple genres (e.g., Grand Theft Auto, Borderlands, Civilization, NBA 2K), but one segment that it’s severely lacking in is racers. That could be changing soon.



According to an internal statement seen by VGC, Take-Two has made a proposal to acquire Codemasters – the UK-based developer/publisher that’s responsible for hit racing franchises such as DiRT, F1, and Project Cars.

If they fo they need to revive the franchise project Gotham racer. I really enjoyed that game.
 
If this happens then we can see RIP to yet another licensed sport video game franchise. Imagine what Take Two is going to do to the career and eSport features of the F1 games when they get their grubby hands on it.

Project Gotham Racing is owned by Activision. It was developed by Bizarre Creations until they were shut down a mere 4 years after being acquired by Activision.
