The Batman Part II (DC Elseworlds) and Superman: Legacy Announced for 2025 Release

The Batman won't be the last time that fans will be able to see Robert Pattinson dress up as the Dark Knight. Speaking during a press event today that detailed the future of the DC Universe, James Gunn and Peter Safran, who now run the newly created DC Studios within Warner Bros. Discovery, announced that a sequel, simply titled The Batman Part II, will premiere in theaters on October 3, 2025. The new movie will be released under the "DC Elseworlds" brand, a new label meant for any DC film or television series that is set outside of the main DC Universe. Gunn also confirmed that he is writing a new Superman movie called Superman: Legacy, also slated for a 2025 release.
