Naughty Dog has released a performance patch for The Last of Us Part II that allows PlayStation 5 owners to enjoy the critically acclaimed action-adventure title at a higher frame rate. Once patch 1.08 is downloaded, all users have to do is enable a toggle in the game’s Display options to boost the standard frame rate target from 30 FPS to 60 FPS. The Last of Us Part II also loads considerably faster and includes some level of haptic feedback support when played on Sony’s next-gen hardware.

[…] The Last of Us Part II has been recognized with over 300 Game of the Year Awards, an unprecedented achievement. We are super grateful to our community for your terrific support over the past year, including voting us the BAFTA EE Game of the Year and the Golden Joystick Ultimate Game of the Year.

Ooooo... 60HZ. It's pre-2013 all over again. Given that the latest gen consoles rival high-end gaming PCs, I would have thought there'd be support for variable refresh rate from day 1. They should be able to do smooth gameplay at a much higher fps than a pou^H^Haltry 60Hz.
