The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Trilogies Coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray December 1

Warner Bros. has announced that it is bringing The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy and The Hobbit: The Motion Picture Trilogy to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on December 1. Tolkien fans will be enjoy Peter Jackson’s legendary films in extremely high quality, with HDR (Dolby Vision/HDR 10) and lossless audio (Dolby Atmos), no less. According to The Digital Bits, all six movies have received new 4K scans as well, so the epics should look and sound better than ever.
