Ubisoft Delays Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Indefinitely

Ubisoft has announced that its remake of 2003’s critically acclaimed Prince of Persia reboot, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, will not be making its originally intended release date of March 18, 2021. The time-manipulating action-adventure game has been postponed indefinitely so the development team can “deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.”



“Since announcing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in September, we saw an outpouring of feedback from you on this beloved franchise,” Ubisoft tweeted. “It is your passion and support that is driving our development teams to make the best game possible. Another example of believing they could make a quick cash grab. Sorry, but you can't pass off such a low effort with a fan base that is very passionate.
 
I wonder if the enhancements EA are putting into the Mass Effect re-release spooked Ubisoft.

Either way, I won't fault Ubisoft for delaying a game if they don't feel the quality is there.
