Ubisoft Is Emailing Far Cry 6 Players Who Haven’t Been Playing the Game Enough

Ubisoft has begun an email campaign whereby Far Cry 6 players who haven’t been playing the game enough are getting messages reminding them of their apparently inadequate playtime. As demonstrated in screenshots by GamesIndustry.biz managing editor Brendan Sinclair, the email is written in the style of the game’s villain played by Giancarlo Esposito, El Presidente, to goad players back into revisiting the game’s chief location of Yara. Ubisoft’s odd way of engagement has received mixed reactions.



“Hola, Rojas,” the email reads. “I wanted to thank you for giving me free rein in Yara. Take it easy, and know that Yara is in capable hands.” The email then taunts the reader that they can do better, followed by the playtime that has been achieved and other game stats.

Guess that's what they get for giving the game away for free with hardware purchases, a lot of peeps with little to no interest get the game give it a try and move on.
