Universal Films to Hit Peacock Streaming Service No Later than Four Months after Theatrical Debut

Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) has announced that it has entered into a deal with Peacock that will see its latest films reach Comcast and NBCUniversal’s streaming service no later than four months after they debut in theaters. The agreement is notable because the industry window between theatrical release and availability on streaming services or cable channels typically lasts 18 months. Some of the films that Peacock subscribers will be able to enjoy relatively shortly after their initial theatrical release include Jurassic World: Dominion and fresh installments in the animated Minions and Puss in Boots franchises.
