Universal Pictures Pushes Fast and Furious 9 Back an Entire Year Over Coronavirus Pandemic

Fast and Furious fans will have to wait an entire year before seeing Dominic Toretto’s crew tear up the streets on the big screen again. In a tweet sent out earlier today, Universal Pictures announced that it would be delaying F9 – the ninth Fast and Furious movie – from May 22, 2020 to April 2021.



Here’s the full statement from the studio:



To our family of Fast fans everywhere,



We feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga.



That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May.

****. Nine of them?

I haven’t seen any of them.
 
They are actually fun popcorn flicks and draw in a billion or so a movie so they keep cranking them out. This delay could be painful I would look to see if netflix or Prime wanted to pay to stream it for a while.
