Volition CCO Jim Boone has shared a short letter revealing that the new Saints Row reboot will no longer make its original release date of February 25, 2022. The latest installment of the open-world, GTA-inspired franchise is now slated for release six months later on August 23, 2022. Anyone here into Saint's Row? I never could get into it. I know it's just over the top ridiculous GTA type but just didn't do anything for me. Also I'm not really into giant purple dildo swords.

I loved Saints Row 2, sure it was a bit buggy, and the physics were really terrible but it was just pure fun. The dildo sword is just a stupid gimmick not what the game is about. And it was only in the fourth game anyway I think. The 3rd game was also great still, it was similar to GTA San Andreas, just better. I think I played more SR3 than SA. Unfortunately SR4 fell off the deep end, it became cheesy and self serving instead of fun.

As for this, I hope they delayed it to rip out the woke hipster nonsense, but I fear they'll just double down and then blame the fans for their failure to deliver a game fit for consumption as entertainment.
