Warner Bros. Delays Dune to 2021, The Batman to 2022

Update 11:50 p.m. (EST): That was quick. According to a report from Variety, Warner Bros. has gone ahead and delayed The Batman from October 1, 2021 to March 4, 2022. Interestingly, Matrix 4 is being moved forward from April 1, 2022 to December 22, 2021.

Sorry, Dune fans, but the CG sandworms are going to stay buried for quite a while longer. Collider is reporting that Warner Bros. and Legendary have opted to delay Denis Villeneuve’s (Sicario, Blade Runner 2049) adaptation of Frank Herbert’s timeless sci-fi novel to October 1, 2021. The film was supposed to open on December 18 this year.
