Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for what could be one of this year’s most successful blockbusters, Dune. Directed by Sicario and Blade Runner 2049’s Denis Villeneuve, Dune is a big-screen adaptation of author Frank Herbert’s science-fiction classic that aims to scrub David Lynch’s critically panned 1984 version away with an all-star cast, gorgeous cinematography, and a script that’s easier to follow and more efficient at bringing the immense lore behind the Dune franchise to mainstream audiences. Dune will be released on October 22 in theaters as well as HBO Max as part of Warner Bros.’ same-day premiere streaming initiative for 2021.

Scrub away the 1984 movie? They really said that? Because then this one just turned toxic to me.
 
It wont scrub away the original, it will always be compared to it.

Regardless of that, the trailer is good. I'm amped to see this movie. I kinda really want to see it on IMAX.
