If I had a net worth of nearly $8 billion like Gabe Newell, delivering packages to random strangers would be one of the last things on my mind, but that is exactly what happened last week, according to a new promo video shared by Valve.

Gabe was so excited about getting his company’s Steam Deck into the hands of gamers that he literally did just that, hand-delivering the heavily hyped portable to gamers in the Bellevue area while reminiscing about his first job as a newspaper delivery guy. My brother lives in Bellevue (not far from Valve - we visited the place when I went to see him in 2013), but he probably won't be getting his Steam Deck until 2nd half of this year. Which is fine by him cuz maybe by then the software will feel less like a beta. Cool of GabeN to deliver Steam Deck units to customers though. I guess he's not stuck in New Zealand anymore. He gave them his email address too huh?

Santa Claus
Yeah he does kinda look like that these days. And he's going around delivering presents (though it is no longer December).

Heck, if I were wealthy and had some measure of celebrity status I'd go around doing **** like that all the time just for fun in order to surprise people.

So I wonder if feet will peak at steam deck Rev 2..

I just preorder a 512GB model. Wonder how long I'll have to wait.

Hopefully I can install the epic game store on it.

I’ve already seen the work around to get EGS up and running under Proton.

Have to appreciate the small ironies in life
