Western Digital's WD_BLACK SSD portfolio grew a bit larger today with the introduction of two new products in collaboration with AMD, the WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe SSD (1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB) and WD_BLACK P40 Game Drive SSD (500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB).

My guess would be the SSD has an older controller that won't support 4TB

My guess is people will pay more for a 4tb NVME than a 4TB SSD and they don't want the direct price comparison.
