Whats your favorite side scrolling shoot em up?

Thunderforce 4 is the pinnacle for me!


 
UN Squadron was probably my favourite (though I haven't played many from the genre). Biggest thing about that game for me was the regenerating health and RPG-lite elements.

There was also a shooter for the Dreamcast, that had online elements, which I really enjoyed. Think it was more Diablo than a straight shoot 'em up, though.
 
Not a scroller but you got me thinking about old coin ops I use to play... Yie Ar Kung Fu was ahead of its time.
