A fancy new Start menu and rounded menu corners aren’t the only things that Windows 11 users will be able to appreciate when the new operating system begins rolling out next month. As detailed in a new video with Steve Dispensa, VP of Enterprise Management at Microsoft, Windows 11 will also feature plenty of under-the-hood updates that will make the new OS feel faster than its predecessor.

One of the major changes is how Windows 11 handles foreground apps. According to Dispena, foreground apps now have access to more CPU and other system resources thanks to better prioritization, which should keep things feeling snappy even when the processor is stressed.

So under the hood, we’ve done a lot of work in memory management to favor the app windows you have running in the foreground so that they’re prioritized with more CPU and...

Wow.

They are really trying SO hard to get people to like Windows 11.

It's almost as if they are desperate.

So what this says is don't plan on getting your single system multibox MMO sessions to work well. Because whatever one you are clicked on will have resource priority and even if you have oodles of resources left thanks to prioritization the rest will run like crap. ENJOY!!

Another issue I have with 11 is with how windows defender suddenly decided that the cheat programs I use from cheathappens are now viri and I had to put an exception in for freaking EXECUTEABLE files to get them to work again...

Let me take the detection category and white list that or make proper white listing also white list other executables created or spawned by the specific executable I white list you freaking IDIOTS!

I actually kind of like this. Would be even better if they removed the ability to make an exception :p

If my running cheats on single player games is an issue for your experience in single player games I have to wonder about your general well being and state of mind.

Here have a Snickers and a Dr Pepper.

(Had a family member that worked in a psych ward in a hospital. When someone would loose it they would be given a Snickers and a Dr Pepper. From personal experience using this myself it works! lol. )

I honestly don't care about single player games. When you cheat at a single player game you are cheating no one but yourself.

I just like the concept of cheat controls, and I don't trust the ability of something like Defender to reliably tell the difference between a single player cheat and a multiplayer one, and sacrificing single player cheats in order to get rid of multiplayer cheats seems like a small price to pay :p

That's just it it's not sacrificed. These "security" improvements are also getting in the way of it tools.

Imagine if you couldn't use pushd or icacls commands to correct directory or file access? Thst would suck. But in a very real sense those are nightmare tools for security people..

Defender is not an anti cheat device, it is not supposed to be. And while game developers insist on making games deliberately grindy just so you have to buy "time savers" I insist on having cheats. And I never play multiplayer games.

Well as long as it "feels" faster! Maybe MS could ship you a little USB powered fan to plug in and point at your face... so your hair will blow in the wind while using Win 11. FEEL the speed. o_O
