Microsoft has begun upgrading its Xbox Cloud Gaming servers with Xbox Series X-level hardware, allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to enjoy select games via the cloud at a level of visual quality and performance that’s more consistent with its flagship gaming console. According to a report from Ars Technica, Sega’s Xbox Series X port of 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon is one of the most obvious games to have benefited from the upgrade, now boasting nearly instantaneous loading times and menu toggles for either higher resolution or higher frame rates. Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service is exclusive to the Ultimate tier of Xbox Game Pass, which costs $14.99 a month.
