Sony’s recent decision to bring some of its more popular first-party PlayStation titles to the PC platform has been generally well received, but the head of Xbox doesn’t seem particularly impressed. The makers of just about EVERY OTHER CONSOLE TITLE FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS needs your attention MORE than Sony there man.

It's not Sony's fault you have no worthwhile exclusives to bring to the game.

Yeah this is the "We are sorely behind this generation, so we'll take what shots we can".

If they would actually execute on their vision they would have the hands down winner - an ecosystem that goes beyond the console is a great idea, and they almost have "Netflix of gaming" going on. But they just haven't quite got out of their own way yet to make it really worth while.

Maybe someday... MS does have a habit of continuing to refine until they finally get ... maybe not the best version of themselves, but something workable ... and then proceeds to use that like a cudgel to beat everyone else into conformity.

obligatory "there are no consoles to buy" remark from me

At least MS releases exclusives the same time on PC and X-box, not a bad idea given how few consoles of them are in the wild.

MS is only doing that because they are losing the race, and they haven’t exactly convinced / compensated many third party developers in following suit — so all those EA / Ubisoft / Activision games that all do the same thing - no criticism there eh?
