Zack Snyder Announces Release Date for First Netflix Feature, Army of the Dead

Zack Snyder has announced that his first project for Netflix, Army of the Dead, will be released on May 21. The director revealed the news in a tweet this morning, which included a new poster for the film alluding to a bunch of zombies trapped behind the thick steel of a bank vault. Snyder also confirmed that Army of the Dead’s first teaser will be available to watch this Thursday, February 25.



“Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted,” Netflix’s official synopsis reads. The ensemble cast includes Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Hiroyuki Sanada (The Last Samurai), Tig Notaro (Star Trek: Discovery), and Omari Hardwick (Power).
