Netflix Announces Live-Action Resident Evil Series

Netflix has confirmed that it’s working on a live-action Resident Evil series, which will comprise eight one-hour episodes. Unfortunately, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine fans appear to be out of luck, as the show will revolve around the “Wesker kids” instead of everybody’s favorite S.T.A.R.S. members. The show will presumably draw inspiration from Capcom’s Project W storyline (Albert Wesker is just one of many “Weskers” that stemmed from a eugenics program).

Andrew Dabb's only credit is Supernatural, and Bronwen Hughes has directed single episodes for several TV shows throughout her career. I'm being cautiously optimistic. Anything that is actually based on the games has to be better than the Paul Anderson content we've been tortured with for 20 years.

Yeah the first one was ok because it was different at the time and Mila didn't wear a lot of clothes. But all the sequels were god awful.

I actually thought the third one wasn't bad, either, but as an apocalyptic zombie file that was not Resident Evil.
