Could Intel reclaim the gaming crown from AMD with its upcoming 11th Gen Core “Rocket Lake-S” processors? That’s beginning to look like a possibility, as the company has shared first-party benchmarks of the 8C/16T i9-11900K besting red team’s 12C/24T Ryzen 9 5900X in various games such as Far Cry: New Dawn (+3 percent), Cyberpunk 2077 (+4 percent), and Metro Exodus (+5 percent). Intel’s Cypress Cove processor even managed to exceed the performance of Zen 3 by as much as 8 percent in Creative Assembly’s real-time tactics title, Total War: Three Kingdoms.

Wow, so 162 FPS vs 150 FPS at 1080P.

There are people who will care about that. I wouldn't, but those numbers won't tell the whole story. For example, average frame rates on my 3950X and 10900K are almost identical in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K. As you are primarily GPU limited, this makes perfect sense. However, frametimes are better on the Intel setup.
