PlayStation Lays Off 900 Employees, including Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, and Guerrilla Staff

PlayStation is planning to reduce its overall headcount globally by about 8% (about 900 people) as part of a new and "extremely difficult" workforce reduction initiative, Jim Ryan, President & CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, announced today.

It's been like a year and a half of constant non-stop news about layoffs in the game industry. It's honestly getting pretty ridiculous. It almost feels like most gaming headlines in the past year have been about layoffs.
