The PC version of a multiplatform game can generate 40% of its overall sales—or, possibly, even more—but Take-Two still has zero desire to deliver a PC port of GTA VI when the highly anticipated action-adventure game from Rockstar Games launches for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S this fall, according to new statements that Take-Two CEO and chairman Strauss Zelnick gave to an outlet after being queried as to when the inevitable PC version of GTA VI may be released.

Why release it at the same time, when you can get a large chunk of those sales on the consoles by people who just can't wait to play it, and then again in a couple of years on the PC, when you re-release it with a few PC-centric improvements?

Why wouldn't you double-dip sales like that?

And for you poor sods who are too cheap to go out and get a console, or want to bask in the superiority of your PC Master Race - well, you can just wait, and you'll still pay for it.

Its a bewildering phenomenon the fact that consoles are a keyboard mouse away ( with proper support) from being a " gaming" pc.
Its been years that I wonder when will it hapoen, just when will ms or sony or even nintendo say... From now on, this next console we are making requires games as applicable (assuming no special gamepad features) to use game pad and keyboard mouse fully and properly. You can buy any bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or ours.
FPS games suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck on game pads. Games made for keyboard and mouse such as computer RPG of pc sim games suck twice as much as FPS on game pads. Yet all consoles have the proper connectivity for keyboard and mouse, and yes "support" it as in the hardware can, but not really... Its bewildering nonsense.

Some games support mouse and keyboard on consoles, but nowhere near enough. In the past it was a small amount, like one of the Quakes on PS1, Quake 3 on Dreamcast, UT1 on PS2, UT3 on PS3, etc. But the Xbox fambly (8th-gen and 9th-gen Xboxes) has a surprising amount: https://www.purexbox.com/guides/all-xbox-games-with-mouse-and-keyboard-support

Like I said, nowhere near enough, but way more than I would have expected.
