Have to agree. Prime Day had better prices than anything I have seen so far this month on most desirable PC components.Every year I keep saying how BF for tech gets worse.

If it walks like a gorilla... and talks like a gorilla...Oh so it's no longer a good deal to buy anything now because of ram prices? So that makes buying AMD bad as well because they cost even more?
it's funny how I highlighted that you can buy an arrow lake system CPU/MB/Ram for almost the same price as an AMD CPU/Mb but without ram, but it's still a bad time to buy things?
It's funny you mention that, because I'm fairly certain it was YOU that mocked me for suggesting someone go with a 265K and a higher end GPU with the money saved vs spending much more on a 9800X3D, but now it's ok to do something similar because of ram prices? You can still go up a tier in GPU level by going with (by example) a 265K which is almost $300 cheaper than a 9800X3DIt's not about Intel or AMD... It's just saying that with the amount you are over paying on ram right now you could go up a tier in video card and keep the same ram once prices drop back down.
And if you're building a 9800x3d and looking at a 5070ti OR a 5080 video card I would say stick with the higher end CPU and spend the money, but wait on ram. Why... because you want to draw out the performance of the video card. It's funny you mention that, because I'm fairly certain it was YOU that mocked me for suggesting someone go with a 265K and a higher end GPU with the money saved vs spending much more on a 9800X3D, but now it's ok to do something similar because of ram prices? Yes. Especially Intel Arrow Lake. Choppy framerates versus smooth ones, one GPU bin isn't going to cover that. You mean to tell me that the AMD system will be better for gaming in all metrics vs the intel one?
It won't on an X3D SKU - but anything else AMD or Intel will be more sensitive. That testing would appear that at high resolutions super fast ram doesn't make much of a difference.
Proof of "choopy" frame rates? First i'm hearing of that.Yes. Especially Intel Arrow Lake. Choppy framerates versus smooth ones, one GPU bin isn't going to cover that.

Have you never heard of frametimes? Did you gloss over that detail in this thread?Proof of "choopy" frame rates? First i'm hearing of that.
Yes. Better gaming experience. The Intel / 5070Ti might produce higher average framerates, but frametimes will be all over the place. So, to be clear, you are saying that a 9800X3D with RTX 5070 will give a better gaming experience than a 265K with a RTX 5070Ti?
i'd love to see examples of this......Have you never heard of frametimes? Did you gloss over that detail in this thread?

try harderi'd love to see examples of this......
Where is all the huge frame time spikes?
Seems the 265K and 5070ti has lower frame times?
I see you're a man of culture.AMD unboxed
You're not asking questions. You're making false statements and feigning ignorance for some reason. Some folks are convinced that you're an Intel shill; I'm convinced you're just a troll.I see you are still avoiding the question I keep asking all along........
So I'll type like a boomer. PROVE TO ME THAT A 5070 AND 9800X3D IS A SUPERIOR GAMING EXPERIENCE VS A 265K AND 5070TI.Yes. Especially Intel Arrow Lake. Choppy framerates versus smooth ones, one GPU bin isn't going to cover that.
