Pretty much the same here. PS3/X360 were so much of a drastic improvement over earlier generations it was unreal. Since then.... just generational upticks in resolution, the games seem the same.
How many 360's did you go through? I had FIVE (but only purchased 2) due to RROD. Last one was a...
Shocker. Also... I don't think I'm buying a PS6 / Xbox XXX..........my PS5 collects dust and mostly either plays PS4 games or 4KUHD blurays. My PC gets more use, but since I can't seem to get away from Civ V, CPU and GPU seem less important. I don't know why I upgraded from 1080ti to 4070...
Are you sure there's not at least 1 older/slower USB port on the motherboard, for stuff like mice/keyboards? But moot point anyway if it worked for you no issues.

I mean it depends, it's on a game by game basis. Do I need to play any of the Batman games again? Nah. But I'm sure there are 360/PS3 games I missed. Although I was 1000% more actively gaming back then, 20 years ago.
Yup I did that too. Easy 800 to 1000 bump
I did have an old ATI card that I bios flashed like 20+ years ago.... 8000 or 8500 maybe? It worked but when it got hot/overworked I got checkerboard pattern on the screen. I had to ziptie a spare 80mm case fan to it to keep it cool
