  1. Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Is Now Available Worldwide, Bringing a Revolutionary New Chapter of the Strategy Franchise to Players on PS5, PS4, X...

The reviews are not great. Not just bugs but general gameplay. We'll have to wait for patches and DLC to trickle out to see if they can save it. Still rocking Civ 5 with the Vox Populi mod.... I tried a 6 game the other day and it just rubbed me all wrong, me no like. From the vids I've seen...
  2. Borderlands 4 Launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 23

3 was meh, I didn't finish it. TPS was not great. Tiny Tina (I just played the one-shot, not the full one) I didn't love. I think I might be done with Borderlands.
  3. Falcon Northwest Throws Doubt on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Meltdown Controversy as Cable Maker Begins Warning Users Not to Use Old 12VHPWR Cables wit...

So they changed the cable just enough so people can't use the one they already had? Awesome
  4. Anyone do a Win 11 upgrade from 10 (not a clean install)? Does it keep apps?

Google says it keeps apps and data but I have doubts, bc previous win upgrades have never kept my apps intact. Data from my documents etc sure. But I don't want to reinstall a 1000 things and I'm just wondering if this smoke dream is reality yet. I thought I might ride Win 10 into the ground...
  5. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition Video Card Review

So I'm gonna just throw this out there...... who out there NEEDS this? I mean, really, what PC game is anyone playing today that they HAVE to have 4K with RT at 100fps+? Most of the high fps freaks I know that buy all the crazy fps monitors etc are playing twitch shooters on 24-27" monitors...
  6. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition Video Card Review

Nice review, thanks. Out of my price range by a factor of 4. Not including the 1000w PSU I would need to buy as well.
  7. Bazzite? Anyone using it?

I'd never heard of it before a couple days ago.... seems like a SteamOS replicant for windows handhelds. I'm installing on a VM now and might consider throwing on my potato laptop.
  8. SteamOS Expands Beyond Steam Deck: The Legion Go S Is the First Officially Licensed Third-Party Handheld Powered by Valve’s Open-Source Linux Dis...

I read about that this morning. I was aware of non-official efforts to get it going, but I'm a bit confused why Steam is fully on board with the SteamOS "everywhere". I mean, the Steamdeck was a huge success, why would they give up that market/revenue and just give it away? Are they...
  9. AI PCs Will Become the “New Normal” and Capture 60% of Total PC Shipments This Year as Windows 12 Launches in 2H 2025, Analysts Say

Yeah after the umpteenth ransomeware attack, our corporate IT put the smack down on ANY person email / file services. Pretty sure they are all blocked on the firewalls, but that doesn't help when so many are working from home and not always on the vpn. Stupid salespeople.
  10. Grand Theft Auto VI Will Make Over $3 Billion In Its First Year, Analysts Say: “Biggest Entertainment Launch of 2025”

I tried to sometime last year and the stupid rockstar launcher boned up my account and I couldn't log in. didn't want to create a new account so I just played something else. RDR2 same story but I will probably do that one at some point.
  11. Kingdom Come: Deliverance Is Free on the Epic Games Store for a Limited Time
