Except when I bought the TV the end of November the HDMI 2.1 update had already been released. This is actually the first I'm hearing that VRR and ALLM wasn't a part of that update. Because I haven't been able to get my hands on a PS5 or 3 series nvidia card I had to trust that the Sony released...

I just bought the 75" model specifically for those features. I'll be returning the set if they won't be implementing them. If I can't I'll be looking into a small claims or class action.

They should have delayed it again until Spring. By that time we should be able to get our hands on one of the new video cards as well.

I'm thinking actual stock. I believe they are already manufacturing these instead of the vanilla versions. It's why we are seeing more 3090 cards than we are 3080s, because 3090's aren't being replaced so they can sell them now without worrying about pissing off their entire customer base 3...

Meh... 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. The new guy looks like as much of a Peter Parker as the old guy. If anything, it's just a huge waste of money, it's not like this is going to improve the game in any meaningful way.
