My Epic account was hacked!!!

So, I haven't been using my Epic account for a while, like march or so.
Today my son tried to log in and surprise surprise the account does not exist.
I have it on my hotmail account which I rarely use.
So, I checked and there are several mails requesting 2FA and one where apparently the account was changed (the mail is in Eslovaquian, Chechian or something)

Suffice to say none of the recovery options work

What can I do?
 
Update:

I was able to do the recovery process with the display name. Just received a mail from Epic that they will review my request and notify me in 48hrs.
I've had this account since the epic store came out, never had an issue till now.

I lost my EA account like a decade ago when some guy hacked it but, got it back almost instantly.
 
I have no idea what you could do.

But I dont log into mine that often either, so I had to check to make sure. I'm safe at least. Not that it helps you.
 
It seems it's not an isolated case, so it's going to take a while till epic solves the issue.
 
Lost my Epic account ages ago because it was tied to an old msn.com spam e-mail that got deactivated in one of MS' many web merges.

Tried to do the recovery process with Epic, answered their questions etc, and after 48 hours Epic told me to take a hike. Luckily nothing there other than a handful of forgettable freebie games but only reinforced my "Steam only" policy.

Hate having my games scattered across multiple launchers then having to jump through a dozen hoops if I want to play something on a launcher I haven't fired up in a while.
