That's no where near enough money for that game to break even, much less turn a profit.

Well my interest dropped fast after reading about the ****ty stealth missions, I hate stealth gameplay, so for me this will be a deeply discounted title I bite.b

its bad when ~70m doesnt break even for a game.
Somethings wrong there.
I would love to see the development budget breakdown.

It had to cost at least 100m. I can't imagine a Ubisoft game in this day and age being done for less than that.

There was a rumor circulating that skull and bones cost ubisoft 850 million, now IDK how reliable that is, but Concord is confirmed to cost 400 million which is only an online shooter and not a proper game with a campaign. So I'd think outlaws on the lowest end had to cost 150-200 million not accounting for marketing.

AAA games routinely cost in excess of 100m now. When it takes five years and a development team in the hundreds, this isn't really that hard to figure out. The salaries of that many people over a long period of time adds up to pretty big numbers. Then you have to include the hardware used for creating all the content, software costs, licensing, etc. and the money goes fast.

Yeah for sure, but is starwars a AAA game? I didnt really think that classified.
From the play I wouldnt expect more than 3 years dev time with any decent sized team.

suck it, Ubisoft. You cannot reskin AssCreed / FarCry eternally. Sadly if this game had come out 20+ years ago it might have been regarded a masterpiece. Now it's just a more of the same open world BS game with a SW flavor.

They could have done it eternally, but this game is far inferior to either Assassin's Creed or FarCry, even compared to FarCry6. It is an anti game, the people who made it don't understand what makes games fun, or didn't care, or worse deliberately ignored what the "chuds" want from games.

It have been better if it had been a reskin of Assassin's Creed and say Ghost Recon Wildlands. Star Wars Outlaws literally takes elements from all Ubisoft's most popular games and executes them with that Wish.com and Temu type quality those sites are known for.

Got it for free. I tried it for about twenty minutes about two weeks ago, and I never had the itch to try it again.

I read a new patch is out that fixes tons of stuff like stealth, speeders, etc. Maybe I'll wait a year until it gets under $30 and all patched up
